Our core customers over the last 15 years have been existing retailers who have done very well selling via their traditional bricks and mortar means and they come to us to create their offering for the wider internet audience; a large part of our job is to ensure that their site entices and attracts their target audience and it is easy to find.
For all of this to happen, a strategy is required and this needs to be considered from the get-go.
Search Engine Optimisation
We must ensure the content of the site is relevant for the target audience, if we get this right, the most popular of search engines will rank the relevance of the site accordingly and increase the likelihood of your site getting under the nose of your prospects.
Prior to creating any site, we will look at the target audience, work out how they would look for your offering and then create a site structure (work out what the pages will be) that can encase content about your products and what the prospects will be looking for and then give you the task of writing the content for the site structure whilst we create the site.
The cost of preliminary SEO work on your site is usually covered as part of the site design; if I did not design your site however, this task will be incorporated into the cost of the Internet Marketing Strategy.
Internet Marketing Strategy
The complete strategy can be done after the design of the site, in fact we recommend it because once the site is complete, there will be room for tweaking the pages.
The strategy has to define in more detail the searching habits of your target audience, how we envisage getting their attention and where from.
This strategy will include the number of hours allocated per week for the posting of reciprocal links on a number of complimentary sites, the checking of their status, posting of content on forums, pay per click marketing campaigns and portals etc.
Strategy Roll-Out
The average marketing strategy for the year will need to allocate at least 40 hours per month. You can pay for the strategy and do the work yourself or pay for us to undertake the actual work as well; if we do the work, we will of course provide you with monthly reports, so that you can monitor your Return on Investment.
The average strategy will take no more than 3 days at which point, you can take it away and do the rest of the work yourself; if you don’t have time to do it yourself and would prefer to appoint a professional, we can do this for you for an additional monthly retainer.
The cost of the retainer depends on the duration you wish to commit to i.e. monthly or annually and the number of hours required per week for your specific strategy.
