I got into Logo Design out of necessity than anyting else; originally as a web developer during the very begining of the era itself, most of my work would come from Marketing Agencies – that would take care if the logo, probably provide a Brand Book, give us some examples of hardcopy Brochures they have created, Point of Sale material, they would give us photography, content (text) for the site itself and literally look after me.
